Meet The Team

Rob Gready, Founder and Managing Director

Rob founded Eclipse HomeCare after a successful commercial career. Having started in farming he went on to set up what is now a European wide management consultancy business, auditing food supply chains for many of the major UK supermarkets. He has a strong Christian faith and lives locally in Pensax with his wife Chrissy and four children (now grown up).

‘’I started Eclipse HomeCare quite some time ago now, for two reasons.

Firstly I believe that the elderly are, in the vast majority of circumstances, better cared for in their own homes and local communities, surrounded by their friends and personal possessions for as long as they can or want to.

Secondly I knew that with carefully selected staff and better training and investment in communication technology we could give a better service to the elderly in need of support at home.

I am very proud of what we have achieved over the last 10 years. To be one of the most established providers serving Worcestershire South Shropshire and East Herefordshire, and to have been recognised by our clients as a top 10 agency in the UK for the second year in a row by Homecare.co.uk is a great credit to our team, and one of my biggest satisfactions comes from reading the many lovely comments posted up by our clients on Homecare.co.uk.’’

Chris Martyn-Smith, HR Director

Chris comes from a big Worcestershire family and lives locally in Abberley with his wife and four children. He has been involved in the local community for many years, having spent 20 years in Stourport building up TP Toys, the designer and manufacturer of many innovative children outdoor activity toys. His natural enthusiasm for people and innovative thinking forms part of the Eclipse difference.

‘’Every day I am impressed by the commitment and dedication of our team of lovely Caregivers, and their passion in delivering the very best of care to our clients. All I want to do is make sure that they are supported in every way possible to maintain these high standards. I believe we have our own unique culture that allows us deliver this day in day out and improve continually.’’

Tony Joyce, Registered Manager – Worcester & Teme Valley Care Offices

Tony has recently settled into married bliss with his lovely wife Sheila, in the beautiful Town of Malvern. He is active in the local church and community. He is a part time musician, writer and badminton player.

He has been with Eclipse from the start and has a wealth of practical experience in the care sector –having worked in domiciliary and residential care for over 13 years. In addition to running the Worcester Office Tony oversees the delivery of training for the company, which is a detailed introduction to care and is of a high standard.

‘’I am committed to both our staff and clients being as much as they can be, this means enabling our clients to be as independent as possible set against backdrops of illness or age related conditions, and in a similar way for our lovely caregivers to have the skills and confidence they need plus the back office support to be the best caregivers in the area, to be as much as they can be also.’’

Rob Thomas, Senior Care Coordinator

Rob has a unique blend of care sector knowledge and IT expertise which allows him to get the very best support information communicated in real time directly to our Caregivers. He spends time in every office but is based in Worcester.

‘’I started in care 10 years ago now after a successful 20 year career in the civil service both as an administrator and team leader. I had reached a certain age and decided I wanted a new career with more emphasis on helping people. This eventually led to my current role which allows me to better support our clients and colleagues by introducing enhancements in our visit rotas and care management system. A challenge I thoroughly enjoy.”

Denise Moule, Area Team Leader (Teme Valley Care)

"I have lived in Kidderminster all my life and recently joined the Eclipse HomeCare team, having already spent four years in domiciliary care. I started as a caregiver and love the fact that I have office responsibility but still get time to spend with the clients. In my spare time I love going on my sons Xbox (when he’s asleep)!’’

Janine Breakwell, Care Coordinator (TVC)

“I became a caregiver two and a half years ago after relocating to the Teme Valley area. I was promoted to Care Coordinator recently. A demanding job I thoroughly enjoy.’’

Ann Jackson, Bromsgrove Service Manager

”My journey through my working life has always been in health care. I am now based at our Gilbert Court Extra Care facility and have worked here for almost 8 years. I really enjoy my responsibility and being part of a great team; and hope we make a real difference to many people’s lives.’’

Denis Hamilton, Activities Coordinator (Bromsgrove)

‘’I have over twenty years’ experience working in the public sector, from being a drug counselor to that of running a community school for excluded young people. I am by nature an artist specialising in producing quality hand drawn portraits and I’m an avid badminton player.

Activities are the life blood of engaged caring as it provides opportunities for all to be outward looking in terms of developing and learning new skills, building confidence and recognising their abilities. It can turn all situations into a hive of optimistic achievements and a base for forming new and enjoyable memories and relationships. I consider myself privileged in having the opportunity to further develop the role as activities co-ordinator.’’

Chrissy Gready, Company Secretary

‘’As you will no doubt spot from my surname I have worked closely with my husband building up Eclipse HomeCare to be the best it can be, which has been both highly challenging and rewarding.

I never thought I would be a car buyer responsible for buying a fleet of cars for caregivers taking advantage of our unique and very popular Car Loan Purchase Scheme to get them mobile!’’

Lynn Brookes, Finance Manager

‘’I have worked in finance for 21 years, working my way up from a YTS student straight out of school at 16, re-training through college and working hard to progress my career to management level. I am a busy mum of one who enjoys spending time with loved ones. I am also a keen runner having completed 5 half marathons over the last 6 months.’’
